Mineral Fillers

Compounding fillers from naturally abundant minerals

We compound mineral fillers from Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3) and Talc to offer more sustainable raw material options to plastics converters. These naturally abundant minerals replace fossil-fuel-based raw materials. The substitution reduces impact on finite resource depletion and cuts greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Our recycled resins support plastics converters in incorporating post-industrial recycled (PIR) and post-commercial recycled materials into their production blends. Infrared Additives

By blocking near infrared solar radiation through agricultural PE films, these additives help stabilize greenhouse temperatures naturally, reducing energy dependence, minimizing thermal stress on crops, and supporting healthier plant growth with a lighter environmental footprint.

Oxo-Biodegradable Additives

Designed for short-lifecycle plastic products like trash and shopping bags, as well as agricultural mulch films, these additives accelerate the material's breakdown after its useful life, helping reduce the long-term persistence of plastic waste in the environment.

Reduce Virgin Resin Dependency

Mineral fillers partially replace fossil fuel-based resins in plastics production. In addition, mineral fillers and dehydrating additives improve the performance of recycled resins, while UV stabilizers enhance the performance of films to lengthen product life. This reduces non-renewable resource depletion, and decreases the carbon footprint of finished plastic products, while maintaining quality.

Decrease Raw Material Consumption

We optimize additive functionality to support downgauging and lower raw material consumption, for example through advanced stabilizers, special filler grades, and other additives for quality thinner plastic film production.

Progress the Circular Economy of Plastics

Our recycled resin products enable converters to incorporate PIR content into their blends. This supports a circular plastics economy by turning waste back into valuable raw material, diverting plastics from landfills and conserving resources.

By substituting petroleum-derived inputs with naturally occurring minerals by replacing virgin materials with recycled resins, MicroMB helps converters significantly cut greenhouse gas emissions associated with plastics production and landfilling.

Energy Efficient Production

Through innovative compounding processes and the use of sustainable fillers, MicroMB has significantly reduced energy consumption across its plants. In addition, solar PV system at its operations in Lebanon reduce carbon emissions.

Innovation Through PACT

MicroMB leverages the INDEVCO Polymer Application Technology Center (PACT) for all R&D, testing, and technical consultancy. PACT supports the development of new compound formulations, application testing, and continuous improvement of sustainable product performance.
